Nice. When I purchased my Pajero back in 2015 Mitsubishi announced that the current models of both the Pajero and Lancer were the last and have maintained the look but continued to sell the vehicle in that form. It was looking quite tired after several years and probably losing sales because of it. Since then they have refreshed the Lancer but for China only I believe. It may be that this refresh will be for certain markets where it remains popular like Russia and the rest of the world won't see it. Not that I am in the market for such a large 4X4 anymore.

Now if a future EC could look more like a baby 2020 Pajero we could get the best of both worlds :D

It's just been announced as the 2020 Pajero Sport which will arrive in Australia early next year. It is not the full sized Pajero which has just had a basic refresh for 2020 and maintains the same styling as the current model. If you zoom in on this reduced size pic here you can see the Pajero Sport nameplate on the front which is the same pic used in an Oz article. See the following link for more pics:

Still such a sad plight, to not have the full-size Pajero anymore. Especially considering recent new model body-on-frame trucks like the Bronco, Blazer, and the long-running body-on-frame Toyotas and Nissans.

Can't wait for 2022 - when we can finally get "the Pajero you want"... Stateside.
