I was driving today and at a random time about 2 hours into my trip this "alarm" screen popped up, it disconnected my Bluetooth phone music and starred playing a fuzzy country music station. I cleared the alarm pressing "cancel" but it continued to reappear for about 30 minuets off and on. I tried shutting my phone off for 15 minutes and the alarms continued. I pulled over and checked the setting for rest reminders and that was not set. I checked my Mitsubishi Connect and there was nothing noticeable. It randomly stopped occuring for no reason after about 30 or more min. Anyone else experienced this?

Nope. Haven't seen that one. There are plenty of alarms listed in the manual, but that's not one of them. Since it's coming through the infotainment system I have to think it's from your phone ... may triggered by a weather or amber alert? Or, is it possible you accidentally pressed the panic button on the fob? I'm just guessing here.

None of those. Like I said I shut my phone fully off for 15 min and it continued. I checked the keys. I moved them and no buttons were being pressed.
I'm literally at the Mitsubishi dealer right now, which was my destination actually (they are replacing a damaged panel from delivery or service) but they have never seen it before either.

Does your EC have an anti-theft package? I can't think of any other type of alarms that would go through the infotainment system.

I don't think it does. I mean it has the usual car alarm that all cars have. It hasn't happened again at this point so, who knows.

I know this thread is old, but THIS JUST HAPPENED TO ME AND MY PARTNER. Exactly the same thing, country music station and all. But we’re in Australia. 😳 Did you ever figure it out?
