Bulb kit for driving in France

1098 Views 4 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  thewiccaman
I'm planning a trip to France in May. It's recommended to carry spare bulbs (legal requirement?).

[Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross 2018 petrol, 1500cc manual]

Any advice where can I get a bulb kit to carry with me (I'm in the UK).

TIA,
David

If your local garage or automotive accessory shop doesn't have them, there are plenty on Amazon. You can also get them when you arrive in most super markets and garages

Thanks for the reply.

Ideally, I'd like to buy a kit to keep in the car but I can't seem to find any in the UK, on Amazon or elsewhere: if any UK owners can point me in the right direction ...

On a related note, I'm confused as to which bulbs I need. Can someone advise in case I have to buy them individually & not in a kit?
Workshop Manual

Link in the post to a workshop manual, top left drop down to Technical Information Manual, down to 54, 54A, lighting. The post also had a link to a parts catalogue you could dig around in. As Johnny said, your local automotive store should be able to look it up by make/model/year

Assuming halogens, not LED? the 55W are shown as HIR2.. I think I find them as 9012's locally, so there may be some naming equivalencies to work through.. PY21W turn signals (7507 here.. 581 seems to come up as equivalent?).

I didn't know bulb kits were a thing. I've only ever bought a bulb when one goes on me (and then back again a month later when the other goes)

They are for the more generic makes/models I guess. The Eclipse Cross isn't so generic it seems!
