Hi all
Purchased a 2019 eclipse cross automatic 1.5 in July. In recent weeks have noticed in the colder mornings my car seems to not shift through the gears and rev’s sit at around 3. I then have to take my foot off the Accelerator in fear of damaging my engine. This lasts around 2 mins then all kicks back into normal and shifts through the gears no issues.
had the car in today for a recall and had them check this, and told me this is normal! Anyone else have same issue? Is this normal?

Mine does this. I have to go up a fairly steep hill within 1/2 mile of home. The revs are higher until the engine warms up. But not quite as high as 3100. I've found the same with other types of automatic. I would expect this to protect the engine from labouring whilst cold. Anyway 3100 won't harm the engine.
