Mitsubishi launching the Eclipse Cross PHEV in August 2021 in Japan, Australia & New Zealand

This shall be a 2.4L DOHC MIVEC Petrol with a combined fuel economy of 1.9 L / 100 KM ( (ADR 81/02)
That is an amazing 52 kms / l ❗❕❗

I've seen the promo video (flagged in another thread) of the production process for the PHEV model. Like @Lunatic59 I am not a fan of hybrids and will go for a true EV in my driving future. Hybrids don't solve the problems of ICE vehicles like pollution and use of fossil fuels. They are not a solution for anyone driving long distances with only a short battery range without use of the ICE component. A BEV (battery electric vehicle) is more efficient for long trips. Hybrids and Hydrogen, which the Japanese seem to love, are not the answer for the future.

Hi!
Anyone here with a 🚘 βš‘πŸ”ŒπŸ”‹ Eclipse Cross PHEV?
Got mine this week and saw 65+km's EV predictions on the systemdisplay.
In reality this came true in mainly suburbian Trafic.
I try to drive PHEV way, without slowing down all the traffic.

This week I have scheduled some hiway routes (300km). Due to speedlimits max speed will be 105km.

Coming weekend I'll hookup the caravan (total caravan weight 1500kg) for a trip of 210km.

That is impressive. (124mpg to imperial folks). I am probably going full EV for my next vehicle. I hope Mitsubishi has an option when I'm ready.

This trip was 294kms, 210km higway and 84km smaller roads (max 85km).
19,6kw/100km and 5,9ltr fuel/100km was the score according to the systemsinfo.
Flatroads, no hills, Normal weatherconditions .

Next message will contain data about the caravantrip

SUSPENSION PROBLEM????

My brand New 1600km, 18inch wheels, is not doing a smooth ride in speedrange 30-55 kms/hour. It shakes a bit and it bumps. The whole car bump s, not only the steeringwheel.
Dealer first checked the screwing of the wheels(?), tightend the screws and let out some air from the tyres, hoping this would solve the probleem.
Problem still remained.
Then dealer has balanced the wheels, because he found a big unbalance in the wheels.
Probleem still not gone.

Talking to some other people at this Mitsubishi location, one technician said he found a similar problem with an Outlander PHEV and that there is a problem with weight and suspension.
When I suggested it may be a design problem, he more or less agreed.

Next week they have another Eclipse PHEV available which I can use to see if that car has the same problem.

Anybody experiencing the same shaking and bumping???
