A special edition of the EC has been announced for Australia, which adds some "sporty" tweaks to the CUV. This new variant is based upon the ES and follows a darkened theme. Alloy wheels now have dark inner spokes, the grille has been blacked out, and the mirror caps and side skirts are now black as well. Mitsubishi has said they plan on only offering 1000 examples of this Sports Edition and buyers can choose from any of the current color options from the regular range. Pricing starts at $30,990.

Only comes in 2WD, a few cosmetic changes does not make it "sporty".

Just what I thought.

Mitsubishi needs too take a page out from what Toyota has done to its TRD models. Even Honda with its Si products goes to a further extent that really resonates with enthusiasts. Without a doubt those very same products have done well year after year.
