Congrats on getting your EC. What did you own before deciding to get it? Also, what other vehicles were you considering?

Hi! I have a 1997 Mitsu Galant in the Philippines and I have a Basic Model of Impreza here in Qatar before I purchased my EC.

I also had a small chip, I discovered that there was no touch up paint due to the layered paint job.

I bought a bottle of nail polish that nearly matched the colour, mixed it with another similar nail polish colour until I got a match.

You wouldn't know it was there.

Mine is the Diamond Red.

Hey Neil,

Let me know the brand of nail polish and the colour codes if you have them. Also the ratio you added (how much of which to what) if you can remember it. I think I'll need this in future as well...

Main colour = Sinful Colors Sugar Sugar 839

Mixer = Sinful Colors Devious 1611

I think I bought them from Target, if not it would be KMart.

You just need to add Devious to Sugar Sugar in very small amounts until the right colour is achieved.

The Sugar Sugar 839 has a hint of glitter like the Diamond Red pearl.

Seems the Sinful brand is at a few stores https://www.google.com.au/search?client=opera&q=Sinful+Colors&sourceid=opera&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8

Don't forget to knock off the wife's nail polish remover and also buy a clear nail polish to use as a clear coat touch-up.

Washed the EC yesterday and found another small chip.

Touched it up with the nail polish.

Attached is a photo where I did the touch-up, yes, there was a chip there, however, the color match is perfect.

What made you decide to get a crossover rather than sticking with a sedan?

Finally got to a K-Mart store to pick these up. Devious is no longer available but they have a new colour which looks to be almost identical called Shine Annie (see the pic) and it is in the same Gel product as Devious was. Sugar Sugar was there so I'll do a test mix and see how it goes.

Did a mix over the weekend and was able to get an almost perfect match. The good thing about using nail polish was that you can paint it directly on an inconspicuous area like inside the tailgate in good light and see exactly how it will look and then just wipe it off with nail polish remover. It will suffice as a Mitsubishi touch up for Red Diamond will never be available.

Necessity is the mother of invention.
Well done.

Glad to be of assistance.
