Merry Xmas to you @Telferstr and all of the community here. Sadly, like you, my days here are numbered. My Tesla Model 3 Long Range is ordered but I will keep participating here until the EC is sold. After that I will be a ghost.
I remain unconvinced that Battery power is the way to go and believe Hydrogen to be the long term future, either by Fuel Cell or ICE, powered by Hydrogen. Time will tell but hope all goes well with the Tesla 3

Not the forum for a debate on non fossil alternatives and my last comment on this thread. BEV works for me because I can charge from my solar setup at home from my excess generation rather than sending it at a loss to the electricity grid. There are many sites in Australia that supply free electricity charging like shopping centres because its ubiquitous. The same can't be said for a hydrogen supply.

I had the opportunity to drive a 6L Chev 1500 H2 ICE back in the early 2000's. About half the horsepower of the gas equivalent, and spark plugs would rust shut every couple thousand kms. 250km range with the bed right full of storage. Not sure if the "hydrogen highway" is still functional, but there were fueling stations from somewhere in California up to Whistler Mountain outside of Vancouver which was roughly 100% of North America's fueling infrastructure.

On a more festive note, we had a rare white Christmas out here on the west coast. Finally got to test out the EC in some snow. Very impressed. Felt easily as capable as my trucks in 4hi.
