So you can use a small mirror to get a better look in there, or maybe hold ur phone with its light on over it.

Otherwise you could try and look up from the footwear but not sure how much is visible or if it could really fall that far. At least it won't bother the HUD then and no problems 😊

Yeah, I did the same thing a while back. Public parking slip fell in. For a while it was giving off a "snapping" sound when the HUD lid mechanism would move. Eventually it stopped. (I was lazy - it worked, so I didn't bother to fix :D)

Apart from taking apart the dash, I don't know how easy or difficult it might be to "fish" it out.

Here's the disassembly diagram for the gauge cluster.
Pay particular attention to the cross-section diagram for that section labeled "A-A". It'll tell you how the clips are positioned underneath that silver trim. And then there's the screw underneath that gauge cluster "hood" as well - don't forget that.

Yeah, it may be that piece of paper, could be something else. That gauge cluster is pretty easy to take off - just look at the diagram as a reference. Don't be afraid. Key is to know where/how to pry.

The one thing I will STRONGLY recommend is, go to Autozone or Harbor Freight first, and pick up an interior panel removal tool or kit. Something like this (below). It'll prevent from damaging interior panels... too much :) Using screwdrivers as prybars is not what you want to do. It will break things, I can guarantee that much.

Good luck!

I once had a similar problem. I was in the Wendy’s drive thru and I paid with my debit card. After paying they were handling me back my debit card and before My friend grabbed it they let go. Slipped perfectly into my buddies door ( his window was down ) . Never retrieved it because I didn’t want to break something then have to replace it since it was his car. Just had a new card sent. Car was totaled a few months later. Also this doesn’t help you at all sorry lol.

Also I’d like to thank slippercream ( I think it was him) for kind of making fun of you about this in the other thread. Made me curious enough to look for it lol

I don’t have a hud. How deepdoes the opening go?

I was like... whuut? :ROFLMAO:

You don't know me enough yet, @NatyOlivares. I think I might be this board's resident troll. :D
Just ask @Willisjamaica. LOL

It's all water under the bridge now though.
