They don’t tell me the specific code. They told me “ lean fuel” but said it was an historical warning and not a new one they just reset the light “ Again”. By coincidence i happened to be chatting to a person who just happened to me be a Mitsubishu tech and discussed my issue. He asked me to start the car and hold the revs steady at 2000 then 3000 revs. He put his and over the exhaust and told me the pressure was try too low and the catalytic converter is clogged and needs replacing. Of course he didn’t run code test because we were just chatting on the street.
He told me they will keep dicking me around to avoid the costly warrant repair and said they will try stall till the warranty runs out. ( Budgets and bonuses were his explanation). Not sure If he is on the money or clueless.
The car has only done 74000 km. 46,000 miles spprox.
Just noticed fuel consumptionn is in the high 8’s. Had an erratic reading this morning up to 40 Ltrs per 100km
Not sure who to believe, but when i ring up tomorrow will be my 5 th visit.
This dealership already lied the first time I took it in. They told me the warning went off by itself. As soon as i drove it home was back on again. Had never gone off at all when I was driving. Friend told me they’d just reset the code.
If anyone knows an honest dealership / service department id appreciate it.
intendeded to buy a new vehicle from this dealership later this year. Not now. Either the car is garbage or they’re incompetent or dishonest. Lost so much faith in Mitsubishi.
sorry for long reply. So frustrated.
