Thinking about buy a set of factory OUTER SCUFF PLATE - ILLUMINATED MZ590877EX.

I can't find any install instructions on the web.

Does anyone know if there is a factory plug already installed for plug and play ?

These stylish door sill scuff plates will enhance the look of your vehicle and protect your outer side sills from scratches and general wear and tear. These front scuff plates feature an attractive illumination of the insignia when the door is opened.

It appears that nobody has any idea as to how the sills are fitted?

Surely, someone knows?

One proven way I found with past vehicles was to call up the dealership and ask to speak with someone in the parts department.
often they're able pull up diagrams and tell you how certain things are installed.

I don't know if this is the case on these sills, but a lot of aftermarket sets actually use a a magnetic control switch for operation. That means its entirely wireless and simply needs to be fitted.

I am finally getting a set of these installed.

They need to be wired into the loom, hence, I am paying my dealer to do the job.

Mitsubishi list the time to install as one hour, seems excessive?

They are expensive, however, there are no after market LED ones available yet.
That's a shame that they have to be directly wired in, and an hour does seem like a long time. Better safe then sorry when it comes to electrical though. Would love to see em once you get them installed.
Not too easy to photograph, however, it will give you a good idea.

I'm happy with them. :smile_big:

I forgot to add that it took the dealer 1.5 hours to install the plates.
As with all accessories, I'm sure there's a factory harness clip you'll connect to. Else instructions will include them. All genuine accessories come with instructions and harnesses, including any taps needed to do the job.
