Interior mirror

Hi, I've had my Eclipse Cross for almost a month now and very happy with it, however my dog knocked the interior mirror off and I can't seem to get it back on. It's an octaganol type fixing with clips and it looks like it should just push back on but even with a bit of force it's not going on. Anyone got any ideas?

A knock like that would easily break off a clip or two. Maybe you can ask the parts guy at your Mitsubishi dealer if you can have a look at a replacement mirror?
