The only thing that's crossed my mind lately is perhaps going from our 2018 EC to a 2020, if only for something a bit younger but with the same styling. It's probably not worthwhile though, so no doubt a pipe-dream at best.

I'm still on the fence about the "generic" rear-end styling on the 2022+ models, but I'm not looking at any other cars/brands to replace the EC. I just like it too much to take a chance on something else.

My next vehicle will probably be 100% electric, so I'm hoping Mitsubishi is working on an electric version of the cross. As far as selling it? Nope. I usually keep my cars for 150k miles before I think of getting rid of them. I still have 132K to go. ;)

I'm with @Lunatic59. My next vehicle will be an EV. Unfortunately, Mitsubishi in Australia and Europe use the Japanese standard CHAdeMO connector for their charger connector whilst the EU and AU standard is the CCS Type 2. So my preference will be a brand that embraces this standard. My dream is a Tesla (Type 2 in EU and AU) but I'll wait and see what develops with the other manufacturers. I have some time to wait for the right EV.

I'm with Lunatic & Zarbs too......next new vehicle purchase would be most likely be an EV esp. now that they jacked up the gas prices since the pipeline hack and not seeing it coming down any more. Plus based on our experience with Mitsus, the EC will definitely make it until 2035, LOL

Ya starting payments all over again is annoying for sure. But these cars are not going to be worth what they are now probably ever again. I’m not in love with my cross but I am used to it and torn weather to take advantage of the times or not. Not sure what I would get though. Pretty sure all my choices would cost a lot more so that’s a negative for sure lol

actually thought of trading my EC to a 2020 Outlander and the Mitsu dealership here was even offering me a trade price higher than what I actually paid for when I got the EC pre-owned, LOL! Almost tempted on jumping into it with the new better looks and 7-seater capacity but like most EC owners feel, the EC is a fun car to drive with awc features that I tend to love....a lux looking uncommon crossover with all wheel drive options I loved. Tried them on snow, dirt, heavy rains & flood, the S-AWC is surprisingly amazing!
