Never owned an Eclipse and when I first heard of the new Eclipse Cross, I automatically assumed it would be a sports coupe or a convertible. Initially, it was a bit disappointing until I saw what the small crossover looks like and it definitely stands out from the average model in this segment.

A 1.5-litre direct-injection turbocharged petrol engine is fine for my needs and it comes standard with 4WD and an eight-speed automatic transmission. These days, pure power isn't what I'm looking for and the Eclipse Cross is a good contender for my next vehicle alongside the new Jeep Compass and the Subaru Crosstrek.

The new Jeep Compass has undergone a great facelift as it looks more like the GC now. Have you taken one out for a test drive yet or even the Crosstrek??

if driving dynamics interest you then the Eclipse Cross might be it
that is what i'm after here because SUV's these days are getting more sports car like handling characteristics.

Have you taken any of Mitsubishis other products out to see how they're suspension fares to give you an idea of if there's much hope the Eclipse Cross would have good handling characteristics?

The Evo itself really wasn't all that from this last generation. Lancer being closer to what an Eclipse Cross should come with is just a lot sloppier than you would imagine it would be.
