umm... IMO.... ewwwwwwww

If you want the real ones, I can get them from the dealer here and send them to you if you pay all costs. We can find out what that would be after I return from vacation to the US on September 2nd.
Here is the Mitsubishi part number so you can see if you can find them there or maybe the local dealer can get them. They cannot get them in the US, so it may not be available to you in Australia too. But best to try to save cost.

Not a fan. These are available as an add on accessory for the Outlander from Mitsubishi here in Australia but haven't seen one for the EC. The one installed on mtgtnt's looks better with the EC styling in the lettering. Can't see me adding this as I have the smoke bonnet protector...
The ones I listed are directly from Mitsubishi. They come standard on the EC here in Europe and so far I have found they are only available here. I do not understand why they are doing this for a simple letter emblem.

@zarbs I also have the smoked protector which mostly hides the letters, but I also like that the fact that if something happens to the shield and it has to come off, the letters are there.

And a funky side effect is that IR light shines right through it and you see the letters as plain as day. LOL

Yes. Of topic but my Arlo security cameras around the house have the same effect when running in night mode with IR lighting. Stuff you can't see during the day appeared through opaque items at night. Weird.

There is a close match to your bonnet emblem available on AliExpress but it is not in the same font styling and oddly one seller has the end I in Mitsubishi standing straight up but the font is in italics. Looks terrible.
I had a bonnet protector and it was a hassle cleaning under it etc, so I took it off.

They do have the Eclipse Cross letters on aliexpress, however, I didn't like the italic style.

The Mitsubishi lettering is starting to grow on me, I did have the same on my Outlander.

I've always had them on my vehicles and cleaning is not an issue for me. I use a microfibre water wipe cloth which is easy to get underneath and suck up all the water. I did have a Meguire's but have recently changed to Bowden's Own, an Aussie product out of QLD. Bought it at the same time I bought their snow cannon to wash the EC and prevent swirls on the paint from mitt only washing. If it's really dirty I'll use the snow cannon followed by a standard two bucket wash. Most times I only need the snow cannon wash and rinse.

I must say the protector on the EC is one of the best to access compared to ones on my previous Mitsi's.
From this view the lettering looks much better.

Not a fan of the lettering. All I would change to the front end is the grille color, to a darker tone, but not black.

I'd chose this one over the "Mitsubishi" badging for sure.
Agreed, but even that is too much for me IMO. These EC's look great with a cleaner front end.
