Pre-orders will be available in October/November of this year.

January 2018 is when it will hit the market.

Pricing isn't official as of yet, but it's been speculated at €28,000 approximately.

So with the more detailed information now, has anyone talked to their dealers if you could leave a deposit down so that way as soon as pre-order books open, you can swoop in and get it done quick?

How much do you think deposits will be on average since I know some deposit prices will vary from dealer to dealer?

I think deposits are typically $500 - $1000 generally. Can't see it being any more than that and hopefully you can leave a refundable deposit as well. It would really suck to lose that money. Albeit it isn't a lot, but it's still a hard earned $1000 lol.

Have it in contract that the deposit is refundable so it's not too bad even if you end up paying more than the average deposit.

even if you can't get it back its a small price to pay which saves you a lot of time if you do plan on getting the car, seen how long people wait for new cars and it can cause a lot of problem, the main being jumping around in rentals while you wait because your current car is dying for retirement.

I'm one for waiting, so deposits are not something I generally deal with. There's usually those few early adopter bugs that the manufacturer hasn't worked out yet and I don't want to be the one to find them.

Good idea but so far Mitsu has proved they can bring good products to the market. You might just want to find a good dealer and take the chance. At least then if you run into issues, you'll be in good hands.

Impressive photo if it is 100% real with no edits, just the raw photo from the camera, but i still have a hard time believing in that. Now only if the Eclipse was racing across the Eclipse... that would be something!
