When I do wash it, I use a pressure washer with a foam cannon, I use rainwater pumped from a tank. Spray on the foam, pressure wash it off, go for a quick drive to dry off, dirt gone and no water spots.
I was an Insurance Investigator for all the major Insurers, lost count of the amount of claims I investigated due to auto car wash damage/scratches etc.
I won't even take any car to the hand wash places as if they drop a cloth, it's just shaken out and used again. Dirt etc on the cloth will and does scratch a vehicle.
It's the second largest investment you will make, look after it to maintain it's value. :wink:
oldsalt, i was really thinking of getting door handle covers as well. Are you confident they stay on? Did you buy from Mitsubishi or third party? How confident are you the 3m will keep them on.

They stay on, it's 3M double sided tape, besides if they come off at any point, heat it up with a hair dryer take it off and replace the tape which is readily available at most auto stores.
Bought them from Aliexpress as Mitsubishi don't sell the full set as far as I am aware.
I found this is the best store to buy them from, they send the items quickly and offer great service.
