Customer service have confirmed the navigation can’t be displayed on the heads up display, gutted and very disappointed, also on my first journey using the navigation via my iPhone keeps loosing the connection displaying message Bluetooth connectivity lost loosing the navigation screen, difficult to understand as the phone is hard wired, the Eclipse 4x4 is only a week old. You can’t fault the driving experance, but I rely totally on the navigation system, I have an iPhone SE, looking for advice if anyone is experiencing similar problems, forget after sales service not interested should have bought a Merk.

The technology and compatibility in the EC could definitely be improved. There may be some aftermarket head units that would work here, but hopefully they make some changes for the next MY.
I'm happy enough with the Android Auto integration in my Eclipse Cross, but it does take a few seconds and sometimes a couple of tries to get it going. Recently I've had two rental cars - a Kia Sportage and a Hyandai Kona - and both of them connect instantly and reliably to Android Auto. So there's something Mitsubishi could be doing better.
Not sure about iPhones, but for me an Android update was the fix to bad connectivity between Phone and Head Unit for Android Auto.

I can also draw parallels to this story in terms of connectivity with older Mitsubishi head units - this update also fixed bluetooth (mind you, not Android Auto) connectivity to the older FuseLink bluetooth system in both Lancer Evolutions. Same phone.

So, my point is --- check with Apple for updates, and if none are available, talk to a Mitsubishi dealer to see if there are any head unit specific updates that can be applied on your next service visit.
If you take your vehicle to the same dealership that sold it to you, you should try to get them to help you out. (Low likelihood that anyone there would really know a fix, but you never know.)
