Just purchased my Eclipse Cross Exceed model.I feel in love with it straight away it looks amazing inside and out .It was a big descion as the reviews have not been very kind and i feel that I may have taken a risk purchasing the EC. I hope i made the right choice .
I had a Toyota Aurion which was near brand new and it was lovely car to drive. The EC does not feel as good as it is quite stiff on bumby roads and Iam not used to the engine sound, I guess Im getting use to it .Has any body else experienced this . Or can someone offer some advice ?
Its great to be here and Im looking forward to be a part of this forum.

G'day mate, I'm in Adelaide and bought an exceed two months ago.

Don't understand what you refer to about unkind reviews?

I find the Aussie reviews fairly good https://www.google.com.au/search?ei.......0...1c..64.psy-ab..0.0.0....0.oqtEOdrmFn4

I traded in my Outlander with 18000K on the clock, I find the EC to be more powerful than the 2lt outlander. At least I have sufficient power when I need it.

An Aurion and any SUV are like chalk and cheese, both have their advantages and disadvantages.

I bought the EC for it's safety stuff and the gutsy motor, I love the car.

You will get used to it, as I said, I have had mine for 2 months and I am still trying to get a handle on it.

Welcome to the forum.

Welcome and congrats on your purchase! I went into this realizing that this isn't a sports car like I am used to so I am not disappointed. I find that it gets out of its own way when needed. Otherwise I just cruise along and enjoy the gas savings. It does have somewhat clumsy handling on some occasions, but again, I didn't buy this for aggressive driving. I have to say though, never have I had a car that can get a little over 400 miles to a tank lol

G'Day oldsalt and Howdy rbtech
Thankyou so much for your replies it is reassuring to know other people out there who have the EC and love it .
Yes oldsalt the Aussie reviews were good but it was the European ones which where a bit critical and a mix of paranoia on my behalf.
BTW do you guys use the eco mode .

Thanks again
Mick

I have tried ECO mode in traffic and I have to say it really dumbs down the performance to the point of being ridiculous...I don't like it.

I realized that car makers are so much at war over getting the best numbers on paper that the products we get aren't exactly tailored best to the owners experience.
Sad to see mitsubishi go this route.
