Received this morning this letter concerning the above, which may be of interest to Forum Members.
I have contacted my dealer, and though only receiving the letter just over an hour ago, they cannot do the update until the 9th of September which is surprising, and due to a large customer response to have the updated software applied.
This would suggest other Mitsubishi models are also involved in this recall.
It will make for interesting driving in the meantime, but to date I have never experienced, (though the BRAKE warning flashes up in the HUD quite often), the brake itself never being automatically applied.

Good to know @Telferstr . I just checked the US Mitsubishi website and they have no safety recalls for my VIN (yet) and I , too, haven't experienced any accidental braking, but i have seen the brake warning light a few times. I'm sure those owners who are experiencing the problem are happy Mitsubishi is acknowledging and correcting it.

Hi,
I did check out the Recall Section on the main Mitsubishi UK Site and it came back with a Safety Recall needed for my vehicle.
Sent them an e-mail and the recall came back as the FCM, which is Not the Safety Recall initially.
In the process of booking it in to the local dealer.
Have noticed the Brake Warning coming up and it,s on the same part of the road where I live...
