Wow I just noticed your car has all red rear lower bumper lights, is your reverse red as well? Edit. Oh I see, one is a fog light that's interesting would be cool if that became a trend here.
The EU, and some other countries, mandate the requirement for a red rear fog light for safety. We don't have them in Australia though my last car, a Pajero/Montero, had one on the spare wheel housing as it was made in one right hand drive model for the world. I do wish the EC had it as well as it is a great safety feature when driving in heavy rain or fog. Many of the Korean makers (Hyundai, KIA) have them on their Australian models by default.

Looking good @Telferstr. It's great to be able to enjoy the sunshine. We have a sunny day today with an unseasonably warm 30 deg C. Enjoy it while it lasts as your winters are cold and not far away.

Yes Zarbs, we had 3 days of lovely sunshine in a row, and a nice sunny afternoon yesterday (Sunday), but back to 12*C and overcast skies today. It is the last official day of summer today with Autumn starting tomorrow.
Getting dark here by 8pm now, so the nights are drawing in. Mid summer it is light here until 10.30/11pm.

Its not bad once you get used to it. Until I had the software update to the throttle control done in May, if you were not careful you could stall the engine quite easily.
That is now completely cured after the new software was applied.

I find the throttle response of the EC lacking at times. Especially when reversing. It seems to have either a lag or complete lack of response. We have just purchased a new deisel ute for the farm and I have installed an iDrive module which improves throttle response at take off and can also be used to reduce the response when in 4x4 mode across terrain like sand and gravel to prevent premature wheel spin. I'm thinking of getting the EC model to see if it improves the response. They're not cheap though at AU$299. They're available worldwide and simply plug into the electric throttle out port on the pedal and then the factory cable plugs in on top with a small control display that mounts to the dash.

Hi Zarbs, I know the software applied to my car was specifically for the manual gearbox versions, but it could be worth enquiring if there is also an upgrade for the CVT models as well.
Save you some pennies if it should be available.
