My MEC doesn't light up like this, is there a setting for this or is it related to the vehicle's grade/options?

What year & trim level do you have? I don't see anything specifically in the manual or model literature that would indicate that the wing lights are different, or able to be configured by the owner. FYI, I just check my 2019 SEL and they do indeed work.

Depends on where you are... Australian Vehicles do not have the lights as they do not meet ADR (australian design regulations)
