Rear door/hatch button

I can't unlock/lock my vehicle by pressing the button on the rear hatch/door?

I have to use either of the front door buttons to unlock and then go back to the rear to open it.

Is this a standard thing?

The raised button on the right-hand-side of the hatch is for locking only. The hatch is unlocked by pressing the middle of the latch area, which is not marked, textured, or raised.


Have a close look when the hatch is lifted up, and it should make sense.
