So many options

Been out of the car buying game for over a decade and its shocking all the changes that happened, its almost revolutionary if you ask me. But with that comes a lot of great choices, lucky for me Mitsubishi is coming out with the EC at time when my Galant is nearing retirement.

In a 2009 Galant currently.

Hopefully I like the EC enough to stay Mitsu, if not then Mazda could get my dollars.

Galant's are nice, and probably my favorite Mitsubishi sedan so far, you made a good choice!

Which Mazda models are you interested in? I noticed they have a couple SUV's that come close to the EC.
I know how you feel when it comes to switching up. Moving on from an old 2007 Toyota and those things are sorely lacking in the cabin area, at least compared to something like the Eclipse Cross.

How do you like what you're seeing so far?
funny you mention 2007 because the steering wheel our EC's have looks like it came from 2007, not exactly a good look for a 2018 product, wonder what Dan thinks, but I think anyone who really likes this brand won't care too much, just as long as its comfortable

Perhaps the center of the steering wheel looks a tad chunky, but otherwise it's on par with what you usually see these days. Maybe even a bit nicer because of the shiny plastic trim in the bottom half.
I guess they could be saving themselves here for a mid-cycle production face lift since that could give them the advantage. Being a car maker that is still trying to find themselves in the market then that could hold a lot of truth.
Perhaps they are saving it for the next cycle refresh, but I suppose they can only streamline the wheel so much as the airbag is located there.

Air bag doesn't matter that much, size of the air bag cover isn't representative of how big the air bag is. Just looking at all the other steering wheels out there from the cheapest to most expensive car makers you get some real perspective how much they can squeeze one in without issue.
