Writing this as of 10am, noticed issue at 4:40am, last drove 5:10pm of the day previous. Key fob won't lock or unlock the doors. Headlights and dome lights work fine. Mileage indicator appears when the door is opened. Start button has no function; no LED indicator present even when confronted with key fob (both used and spare). Battery attempted to jump and charge, no indication of difference when applied. Has been charging since 8:30am.

even with no batteries in the fobs, the immbiliser system will pick up the chip inside the key when you hold it close to the start button and press the start button. The car will then start. If it does not then either the battery is flat or the Keyless start system is faulty.

The headlights working is not a good indicator of battery condition.

You need to start with the basics.

1. Confirm battery condition.

2. Check for fault codes on KOS (immobiliser) system.
