While it looks great, those rims seem very undersized for the vehicle.
They're 16" rims which are the stock size for the ES model. I definitely want to get bigger tires once the warranty expires but for now I have to stick with the stock size that came on the ES model (215/70R16). We go over some pretty rough terrain and the models with the 18" wheels don't do so well due to the low profile tires.

Hello,
I am looking for this type of rim but my dealer in France tells me that it is not possible on models with electric handbrake.

What is the reference of your rims? What is the offset? thank you so much
My rims are aftermarket. They're made by Enkei and the model is EDR9. These rims are 7" wide with a 38mm offset.
Your dealer is correct. Models with an electric handbrake can not use 16" rims. That's why they all come with the 18's.

Not so fast - I have 16" steel wheels mounted with 215/70R16 Yokohama snow tires (provided by the dealer) and I also have the electric parking brake. I'm trying to investigate offset values, etc. for the steel wheels and will post those numbers (if necessary) when I have them. Nevertheless: 16" wheels can work with the EPB.

On an SE 4WD model, yes. I've attached some photos; please excuse my dirty EC as the roads here are in a terrible state with water, salt, dirt, etc.

I sent the service advisor at my dealer an email asking for the steel wheel specs, but he replied saying the wheel was designed to fit the EC with the EPB option (how obvious is that?). Anyway, while I was taking these photos I noticed the wheel specs on the wheel itself and that photo is included. Please note the offset is the same as the stock 18" alloy wheels (which shoots down my theory about it being an offset change which allows the 16" wheels to work), but you'll notice they're also 6.5" as compared with the stock 7" width, which may be crucial.

Clear as mud? Again, I can testify that the wheels and tires work fine and there is no interference with the EPB, which also works fine.

To the moderator: a copy of this thread should perhaps be posted to the Wheels, Tires, Brakes and Suspension discussion area, as we've succeeded in flying off on a tangent here. Apologies!
