Anyone changed there wheels front to rear to spread out the wear and had any issues with TPMS?


I know it can be an issue on some cars and would like to know before I swap my wheels around :)

I had mine rotated at my first service (by the dealer). No issues here.

Although ... given the short wheelbase, the smallish engine and SAWC, I'm not sure you're going to see much wear difference.

Tyre depth check during the service did show more wear on the front that the rear and at around halfway through their expected life it might be worthwhile doing so I can change a full set when needed as better discounts can be available fitting a set of 4 at some places in the UK.

I rotate my wheels religiously every 5000km. While they're off I wash the wheels down front and back to check for nicks and visible damage and check the wheel weights are still in place (I've had the odd one come adrift without noticing on other Mitsi's) and tyres for cuts and any abnormal wear. I also take the time to check the pads and all hoses running to the brakes and finish off with a scrub down of the wheel well before moving the front to rear and vice versa.

Probably the wear on the 2WD models will be higher on the ones with SAWC.

By the way, does your car shows the exact tyre with low pressure? Mine had just a warning light and i had to check all of them to see which one is flat.

As in all my other Mitsubishi's, the light does not indicate which tire is underinflated. Probably a good thing, though, because when you inflate one tire, all should be checked.
