I don’t know about any of you, but I think
The windshields on the EC are super soft. I’ve had to replace it two times. There are a series of scratches and chips. I’ve had my EC for only 8 months.

Does anyone else notice random scratches appearing on their windshields?

I asked a guy from SpeedyGlass. He said that they usually install aftermarket Windshields.
And all features of the vehicle should still work after.
OEM is an option but would require extra charge since they have to order from Mitsu.

For what its worth, I am in Manitoba, Canada.

I just noticed I have two pin needle chips in mine I'm unsure if you should fill such small ones or not? I've gotten a number of windshields filled over the years but they're usually a little bit bigger of chips so I just not sure if pin needle are worth it or not. Thoughts? My insurance fills them for free but I don't want to go in and then tell me that I'm dumb for being there.

I'd get them filled. I had a chip in my Outlander's windshield and one day, just the wind pressure turned it into a 6" long crack. By the time the Safelite guy showed up it was almost the entire length of the windshield.

My friend recommended me to use pmma-made windshield of polaris accessories which is scratch resistant.

I went through safelite and they used the OEM windshield. They said they had to because I have to driver assistance cameras and for the dealership to recalibrate it, they would require that I had the OEM windshield.
They straight up lied to you, I too had Safelite replace mine with a non OE windshield and they calibrated it. $1080 out the door.
