You Tube EC

This guy has posted a few videos of his EC.

He speaks in Chinese? however, I have no idea what he is saying.

He seems to have converted the head unit to take HDMI devices.

In one video he operates his iphone to open close and secure the vehicle. When he opens the door that are beeps and a round red flashing light.

In another video he shows how to access the head unit.

He also shows how to run a usb cable from the front plug to the interior of the centre console.

Anyway, if interested, here is the link to his you tube videos.

Found this guide on how to install a HDMI cable to the SDA

It's in Chinese with photos? however, google translate does a good job.

Interesting but not something I'd worry about as they note MY19 models' SDA has the HDMI port removed. I had a bypass patch on my Outlander from a guy in QLD that you put into the loom at the back of the unit that allowed charging of the iPhone from the multimedia system (Mitsubishi left out that ability in the 2010 model) but it also incorporated a dash button which disabled the speed check from the GPS module so you could change things on the road which was good as it enabled the passenger to control stuff rather than stop the car to make changes. That was back when the Outlander VRX had a DVD playback ability in the dash as well as a DVD in the roof for rear seat passengers and a full fledged set of connections for games consoles and the like in the centre console. All of them became unusable once you were moving without this mod.

These days it's not so much of an issue.

My MY16 Pajero had a HDMI in port in the glove box with the two USB connections to the SDA but I never used it so this mod wouldn't make much sense for me.

Yea i accidentally came across these video...hdmi port is just an input to display just like using aux connectors .... 7 inch screen is a bit too small for me to use as a monitor however the lack of ability to play video on head unit cause me to be interested as the option to stream video through hdmi wirelessly.
As for the unlocking of car via siri I am yet to believe as he had the clicker in hand ...the fact that the indicator flash told me that an actuator wasn't use and that the input came in through the wireless key signal... hence he would have some independent network unit connected to can bus to be able to do that and I can assure you that he's not that skilled none of his mods are high tech but simple bypass method.
